In October 2025, the LayerDrone community showed off their cohort of co-pilots with THIS IS MY SQUAD. Pilots were rewarded XP for inviting their friends to the community, and for sharing a picture that represented their dream drone squad.Â
Spexi Operations Manager Graham Anderson shared a photo of his dream squad — the LayerDrone pilots who met up in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Spexi drone pilot event.Â

Previous community winner Mapster shared his “anti-establishment” squad.Â

Secret-Sparrow’s squad entry was also a compelling case for changing their username to air-wolf.Â

“This is my squad and me... Then I woke up from a dream. I have always enjoyed "Airwolf" the TV show and all extensions that have been inspired. Flying drones are as close to actual pilot experience that I will achieve. I would love to be able to fly an actual helicopter but due to fear of heights and a high cost of operations, but mostly due to that fear of heights. I am stuck to the ground. Would love to one day build out a large scale model Airwolf rc helicopter, But for now drones will have to do.”
Clever-Marmoset (AKA nelsonh | @aerialclicksusa) had the cutest squad submission.Â

There are two ways to contribute to LayerDrone: fly drone missions using the Spexi app (and earn RP), or contribute to the community online (and earn XP).
Either way, the best way to join the community and participate in our next campaign is to join the LayerDrone Discord.
