Pilots Show Off Their Drone Gear in THIS IS MY SETUP

In July 2025, LayerDrone pilots showcased their drone gear in THIS IS MY SETUP.

The LayerDrone community shared their 3D-printed drone mods, an electric “drone bike” used ferry a pilot between missions, and a mobile DePIN station: a Tesla laden with Decentralized Physical Infrastructure (“DePIN”) devices including their drone, Hivemapper dashcam, and more.

LayerDrone pilots voted for the best setup submitted, with the following pilots winning the top spot:

1. Mapster and his DePIN Tesla 
2. Intelligent-Goose and their drone bike
3. Constant-Sawfish and their drone setup

Each of the top 3 finalists XP and LayerDrone merch for their entries. 

MY SETUP winner: Mapster

After the top 3 entries were identified, the final vote determined the grand prize winner: Mapster (AKA Sony, or DePIN Mapster).

Mapster received hundreds of XP and a custom swag bag replete with Spexi and LayerDrone goods.
